UPDATE: Cokato residents get to see the beautiful ships (click here to read the story).

Three vintage sailing ships featured at the Maritime Festival in Duluth are attracting hundreds of thousands of people, according to the Associated Press (as reported by Kare 11).

The festival has drawn about 125,000 people over three days. Nearly all of the three-day passes to tour the ships had been sold as of noon Sunday. Two of the ships — the Madeline and the Pride of Baltimore — are expected to sail out by Monday afternoon. The Niagara is expected to leave late Tuesday.

We were in Duluth also. I was totally surprised to see so many people there. The ships were awesome to see. We didn’t get to take the tour as the lines were 6 to 7 hours waiting time. We were in Duluth last year and got to tour the “Nina”, a replica of the Christopher Colombus ship and the crowds were no where near this year. I am anxious to get my film developed to see if I got any good shots!
