Should Dassel get metro calling?

The Dassel Chamber of Commerce is petitioning for signatures - about 400 are needed in order to go to a vote- for metro calling to come to Dassel. Cokato has it and in order for Litchfield to get it, it needs to be installed in Dassel first. For those in Cokato, do you like metro calling? For Dassel residents, what are your thoughts on getting it?

I didn’t like the idea of Cokato going metro only because I pay enough in phone bills a month with a house phone and two cell phones. But I really haven’t noticed the increase in my land line phone bill. I was able to get a bundle package with my phone company so for the amount that my phone bill went up really isn’t that big of a deal. Now I pay more to drive my vehicle then I do to talk on the phone. If it’s not one thing it’s another! I say go metro all the way around and be done with it.

It really did not make much of a difference for my home line. Though I can now call many friends cell numbers for no long distance, esp. the 612 numbers. It made a huge difference at work however. Even though our bill went up by over $10 per month, there is no doubt in my mind that we more than make that up in calls that were previously long distance.

I for one do not want metro dialing added to my phone line. I already pay emough for my cell and home lines and with the new Democratic Gas Tax bill I just can’t afford any more bills. I could have gone along with the tax bill if they only would have not added the 40 more state troopers. What do they have to do with getting our roads and bridges fixed in this state? Maybe they can pave the roads with donut crumbs.

Not interested if it means a higher phone bill. I use my cell for LD. Wish we would get add’l cell towers, though.
    BTW - Go Obama!!!
