It’s time to discover winter’s wonders off the beaten path as we venture through areas accessible only by snowshoe in winter. Snowshoeing is a recreational activity enjoyed around the world for its accessibility and rustic simplicity. All you need is a pair of snowshoes, warm clothes, sturdy boots and a sense of adventure. Join Carson Law, the recreation specialist with Wright County Parks and Rec, as she guides you on a snowshoe adventure through Collinwood Park while sharing about the history of the park and its inhabitants. This activity is offered in conjunction with Dassel-Cokato Sustainable Living. Either bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair. See the DC Community Education website for additional details.
• The event is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Collinwood Park.
• Pre-registration is required, and may be completed on Dassel-Cokato’s Community Education webpage, or via the DC Schools app. Registration deadline: Monday, Jan. 23.
