Nobody signed up to organize the classic car show this year, but we hope to offer this event again in 2009, which will be Red Rooster Day’s 50th anniversary.
Committee chairs are asked to bring a written list of their duties to Red Rooster Chair Amy Wilde sometime during this year’s event, for the committee to keep on file for future reference.
Proceeds from the annual barbecue chicken dinner go toward community improvements. In the past, this has included the baseball grandstand, park picnic shelters and tables, school band trailer, the fireworks endowment fund, and many other local facilities and services. The 2008 beneficiaries included contributions toward the Spring Lake Park bike path, Dassel Area Historical Society museum addition, and new Dassel Cemetery sign. The work of the committee chairs listed above, and their crews, are essential for a successful Red Rooster Days.
