HUTCHINSON, MN – Michele and Doug Ailie of Dassel were the proud parents of a baby girl, which also happened to be the New Year’s baby at the Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Melaina Michele was born Friday, Jan. 1 at 12:22 p.m. by emergency cesarean. She weighed 5 pounds, 11.7 ounces, and was 18.5 inches long.
Michele’s parents, Elaine and Mark Herman of Dassel, also had a New Year’s baby 31 years earlier, with their son Michael, at Meeker Memorial Hospital.
