I agree - it is just that most of my neighbors having been telling me that alcohol is not a problem at the DC High School. Obviously, what they are telling me is not true. My children did not attend school in the DC district. We moved here after they finished their high school careers and went on to college. They were faced every day with drinking, drugs, smoking, etc. at the school they attended - they had to learn to say "no!" Unfortunately, for them they lost many friends because the so-called "friends" wanted to be part of the drinking/drug crowd. I hope that our family life meant more to them than just being part of the so-called "in crowd."

No one should be surprised. The children around here are just as likely to drink or use chemicals as any place else. If you think otherwise, you're fooling yourself. So wake up.
