MEEKER COUNTY, MN – Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin just announced his candidacy for the November 2010 election today (Monday, March 8). Norlin took over after Mike Hirman retired last April.
Norlin has 27 years in law enforcement, with 25 of those years being in Meeker County. He has also been an active member of the Litchfield Fire Department since 1990, and has served as volunteer on the rescue squad for 20 years, according to a press release.
“I am committed to provided excellent service in pursuit and maintenance of updated communications technology while minimizing the cost to Meeker County tax payers to fund county-wide initiative,” Norlin said, who has sought and obtained several grants to help fund county initiatives.
