It’s not a new technology, it’s been around for a few years now, but I think text messaging is starting to replace actually calling and talking with someone over the phone. It’s quick, easy, and instant, but is it taking away from human contact with a person? I know when I text someone, its hard to get the emotion across. When talking to someone, there are tones that help explain words. With text messaging, its flat. Talking with teachers in school, they are getting irritated with students texting during class periods. Students aren’t supposed to, but they do it so quick many teachers don’t even have time to notice. Is texting going too far or is it just another facet of new communication like email?
