HOWARD LAKE, MN – The 32nd annual fine arts expo and 30th annual creative craft fair will take place Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the middle school in Howard Lake.
More than 100 artists and craft persons from surrounding areas and throughout Minnesota will be exhibiting their works for sale. They will share information and some artists will demonstrate including a wool spinning demonstration. Works include paintings using various mediums, photography, folk art, wood carving, pen and ink, calligraphy, pottery, stained glass, hand-woven baskets, wire working, blown glass, metal smith items, wildlife paintings and jewelry from precious stones and metals and more.
A sampling of the crafts include needlework, bead making, holiday crafts, clocks, ceramics, knit, crochet, woodcraft, home sewn items, wreaths, dolls, jewelry, quilted items, decorative items, rugs, dried florals, toys, greeting cards, candles, lotions, soaps, clothing and more.
Kettle Korn, chili, hotdogs, sandwiches, baked items and a food stand will be available. The Cub Scouts will have evergreen wreaths, garland and swags for you to purchase and take home.
Have your gifts wrapped by the HLWW girl’s golf team. The girls golf team will also be offering to vacuum your car and wash the windows, located on the east side of the middle school. Funds raised will be used to purchase raingear. Register for prizes. No admission fee, bring friends and family.
