Saturday night, a group of friends and I went to the haunted house in Hutchinson. It was sponsored by the Jaycees and the fire department. It was actually set up at their training facility. There were two houses, creepy as ever. It’s been awhile since I was at a haunted house. It was $8 to get in, less if you brought in food for the food shelf. That night alone they had 300 visitors and made approximately $2,400. Maybe next year, DC could think of doing something like this. The teenagers would get a kick out of it. It was definitely worth $8. I could’ve lived without the real dead pig heads though.

I took my teen kids to Trail of Terror last weekend- it was a fun, out of the norm thing to do around Halloween. I agree- local organizations could pull it off quite easily and kids love a good fright!
