ST. BONIFACIUS, MN – The Crown Brass, Chamber Orchestra, Flute Choir and Men’s Choir had an Ensemble Recital in the Crown College chapel Tuesday, Oct. 28. Each group presented musical selections.
Guest artists Dr. Brad Nix and Dr. David Settle, each from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas will be in concert Saturday, Nov. 1, on the main campus starting at 7 p.m.
Dr. Nix earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is an active recitalist, pedagogue, and freelance pianist, and was recently the featured guest artist and clinician at the 2008 Northeastern State University High School Piano Festival and Competition in Tahlequah, OK.
Dr. David Settle, instructor of voice, received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in vocal performance from the University of Oklahoma. He also holds a Master of Music degree in opera performance from Oklahoma City University.
