Representatives from the Dassel City Council, Dassel Township, Meeker County and the Dassel Area Historical Society gathered Aug. 13 to break ground for the new annex to the Universal Laboratories building (Ergot Building) and the city community room. The project was approved by the Dassel City Council previously. Nordberg Excavating of Dassel was awarded the contract for excavation and work began Thursday morning.
