    Welcome back Dale!

I think our city council messed up on this one. When presented with a suspension, Mr. Grochow chose to resign, rather than take his lumps. When you are the leader in charge you are responsible for the behavior of those under you, be it good or bad. He chose to quit. Is this the quality one expects from a leader? Our department has long been admired by other communities, but now has a big black eye.

Does this mean that the Dassel City Council rescinded its suspension of Dale also? If not, then the issue of the council’s egregious action remains.

Dale is not a babysitter, he has in the past taken care of issues relateing to members not showeing up when they are on call, and other issues, he can not be at the fire hall 24/7.

Dassel Citizen - nice job ripping on this 20+ year volunteer. I hope your standards are as high as you expect others to be!

If grown ups don’t start acting like grown ups and treat others with respect and take there punishments then you have no right to be volunteering or being anywhere in the public eye. The way the Dassel fire department has acted against others is a disgrace to other fire departments, suck it up put the alchohol down, do what you volunteered for and grow up. Treat others with respect.
