Greetings Racing Fans!

It’s been awhile since I have blogged about my NASCAR fantasy league so I thought I would give ya’ll an update.

The excitement of picking a driver for the week, watching the race, and patiently waiting for the results from our league administrator is still a high point of the latter part of my week.

I am certainly a rookie at this sport and with each race I learn something new. The accidents on the track still get me a little worked up but hey, I’m a mom and I’m a girl….that will never go away, so I am a rookie with feelings. I am getting tougher though – I am not quite so worried if the driver is ok, after getting rear ended (like Dale Jr. got going into pit road on Sunday) or when a driver gets bounced off the wall. The inside of those race cars are really dressed for safety. Each driver looks like they are packed in those cars like sardines, but they are packed with a lot of safety gear that really protects them from the crashes that no doubt happens at every race! Thank God for technology in the racing industry.

If you’re wondering where I am standing in my NASCAR league, here are my stats.
For two weeks I was in first place, I dropped to second place the third week, weeks four, five, and six I have been holding on (for dear life) in first place. (6th wk in 1st is after the New Hampshire race on Sunday, June 29).

Race fans, what do you think? I am taking suggestions on who to pick for the Coke Zero 400 in Daytona Saturday, July 5. Reply with your suggestions. All are welcome!
