Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church in Cokato hosted a Women’s Soup Luncheon Buffet, which brought women out of the cold and warmed them up with a variety of homemade soups, breads, and desserts Wednesday. The annual event brings in about 200 to 250 women. “It’s just another way to show our love to the community,” said Linda Korhonen, wife of Good Shepherd’s pastor, Lyndon Korhonen. There were approximately 25 varieties of soups, homemade bread, and assorted sweets served. Every year there is a theme. This year’s theme was light. Each table was set up with a centerpiece reflecting the theme. Participant Olga Samuelson of Cokato enjoyed her soup and the friendly conversation. “It’s been a really good day,” Samuelson said.
