Susie Keskey was in the office last week explaining how the New Year’s Finnish tradition of melting tin worked. I’m so excited to throw my own piece of tin and see what the next year has in store for me. Of course this is only fun and games, but some of the stories I heard on people’s tin shapes is quite shocking. For example, one women who was a calligrapher, threw a perfect quill-shaped tin – freaky! If anyone is interested in seeing what their tin future is like, come to the library/museum Centennial Room Sunday, Jan. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. For those who have participated in this event, what did the tin predict for you?
