Former Darwin city clerk sentenced to 30 days in jail

DARWIN, MN – Carmen Denise Kolar, former Darwin city clerk, was sentenced in Meeker County Court today (July 21) to 30 days in jail and restitution of $13,723 for theft charges.

Kolar was originally charged with four counts of theft stemming from her employment by the City of Darwin as a clerk and municipal liquor store manager from 2007 to March 2009.

Some of the conditions of her sentencing includes 30 days in jail beginning Aug. 15, a letter of apology to the victims, payments toward restitution, and up to five years probation.

    I dont understand that all she gets for sealing all that money carmen only gets 30 days in jail and maybe 5 years probation thats like a slap on the hand. ITS MEEKER COUNTY FOR YOU..YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH MURDER IN THIS COUNTY
