DCHS principal accepts position at Chisago Lakes Area Schools

DASSEL, COKATO, MN – Dassel-Cokato High School (DCHS) will have a new supervisor working in its principal’s office this coming school year as nine-year DCHS principal Dean Jennissen recently accepted the superintendent position at the Chisago Lakes School District, located near Forest Lake.

Jennissen arrived in the DC area in August 1994 ,when he was hired as a fourth grade teacher at Dassel Elementary School. He also became the wrestling and football coach, and later taught in Cokato Elementary and was the dean of students in the district’s middle school. In 2007, he accepted the principal position at Annandale Middle School and served there for six years before taking the same position at DCHS and the Area Learning Center (ALC).

“My career path has allowed me to work with students from grades k-12 and serve many wonderful students, families, and staff along the way,” he once stated. “It has been a blast and I have loved the differences in the students at each level.”
