DC School Board receives positive review from MDE on bond-related projects

FOR SUBSCRIBERS:

Big decisions are coming soon for Dassel-Cokato residents, as well as several members of the school board.
First, the board took another step forward toward its Tuesday, Aug. 9 special election.
The district received documentation from the Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner, which provided a positive review and comment for projects that would be funded if the bond question on the Aug. 8 ballot passes.
The letter from MDE stated, “based on the department’s analysis of the school district’s required documentation and other pertinent information from sources of the Minnesota Department of Education, the Commissioner of Education provides a positive review and comment.”
District Superintendent Mark Raymond said other requirements included publishing the documentation (see elsewhere in this issue) and having an open meeting, so people could come and ask questions about the project.
