DASSEL-COKATO, MN – The Dassel-Cokato School Board approved the ground an operating/usage lease agreement with the Dassel-Cokato Regional Ice and Sports Center during last night’s board meeting.
School Board Member Kevin Bjork served on the ad hoc committee and went over three requirements of the agreement.
They are:
- the facility must operate debt-free
- operate independent of the school district, and
- a limited timeline for the facility to become occupiable
The committee decided all these criteria were identified in this document.
“This is a great situation for our school. They are going to build it, and we are going to use it,” said School Board Member Tracy McConkey.
The board unanimously approved the lease agreement, though board member Richard Tormanen was not present.
