DASSEL, MN — The Dassel Fire Department will likely take over pulltabs at Thirsty’s Tavern according to action tonight at the Dassel council. The council approved the idea of allowing the Dassel Relief Association to operate pulltabs using a permit issued by the state. It will waive the percent of money returned to the city, since this is usual practice when the entity in question that benefits from the proceeds (the fire department) is essentially an arm of the city.
