Dassel area 911 outage due to fiber cut Sept. 15 – UPDATE: SERVICE RESTORED

DASSEL. MN – There is currently (Sept. 15) a disruption with 911 service in the Dassel area, according to a release from the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office. Lumen (Century Link) has confirmed a fiber cut between Dassel and Cokato which is affecting 911 calls. Customers in the Dassel area may not be able to dial 911 in an emergency. The estimated repair time is unknown at this time. Cell phones are able to reach 911. In case of an emergency, and unable to reach 911, residents are advised to call the sheriff’s office dispatch at 320 693 5400. Those who are unable to reach dispatch are advised go to the nearest hospital or sheriff’s office.

UPDATE: The 911 service in the Dassel area has been restored and is working properly again.
