Civil War Class in Wright Co.

The Rockford Area Historical Society will hold a Civil War history class at the Ames-Florida-Stork House March 14 at 10 a.m.

Participants will learn about Wright County’s involvement in the war by reading letters written home from the battlefront, seeing Will Hatch’s Bible he carried during his service, and learning about the important role Wright County played in this historic event. A tour of the house and refreshments are included in this class. Registration is recommended as space is limited.

The Rockford Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization that works to bring local history to life through monthly activities at the Ames-Florida-Stork House.
