CEDAR MILLS, MN – Alexander David Jensen, 26, of Dassel, was arrested in connection with an assault that occurred in Cedar Mills March 26 and is being charged with second degree felony assault, according to a report from the Meeker County Sheriff’s Department.

The report stated that Jensen was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Jeremy Jon Hoff, 26, of Bird Island who is being charged with two felony counts of assault and one count of third degree attempted murder. The victim’s name has not been released, but is identified as being a 27-year-old man from Cosmos.

The incident occurred March 26 at approximately 7:30 p.m. with the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office responding to an assault complaint at 13440 619 Avenue in the City of Cedar Mills, where the victim was repeatedly assaulted by multiple parties.

While standing by his car, a white Dodge Ram driven by Hoff, which was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the victim’s car, according to the report. The victim had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck. He was then assaulted by Hoff with a hammer while Jensen stood by with a metal pipe, according to the report. Jensen and Hoff then got into the same truck and again drove into the victim’s vehicle, according to the report. The suspects then left the scene.

Within moments of this attack, a second vehicle, a white Cadillac STS, traveling at a high rate of speed, also struck the victim’s vehicle and almost struck the victim. The driver was identified as Bruce John Johnson, 25, of Hutchinson. He fled the scene and is still at large. A warrant for his arrest also for second degree assault has been issued.

The victim knew the two drivers, and the victim was treated at the Meeker Memorial Hospital, according to the report. This case remains under investigation. Anyone with any information in this case is encouraged to contact the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office at (320) 693-5400.
