The Dassel-Cokato Levy passed with 1,894 yes votes and 1,493 no votes. The breakdown was 1,015 Cokato “yes” votes, 879 Dassel “yes” votes, and 742 Cokato “no” votes, with 751 Dassel “no” votes.

No injuries were reported at a fire that struck the Dave and Mary Ahlgren farm today, Sunday late afternoon. One large outbuilding, which contained primarily round bales of hay, was heavily damaged, but the blaze was contained by the Dassel Fire Department, with some help from Litchfield and Hutchinson, from spreading to other buildings close by.
An employee at the State Bank of Cokato discovered a theft at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded, along with the major crimes unit. There is no suspect information at this time, and the theft is still being investigated by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
