The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the entire area of West Central Minnesota, saying there is the strong possibility of blizzard-like conditions that will exist. .Significant Snow And Strong Winds Are Expected Across Much Of West Central And Central Minnesota From Monday Evening Through Tuesday Night, As A Storm System Ejects From The Rockies Across The Northern And Central Plains.
Snow Is Expected To Spread Across Central Sections Of Minnesota On Monday With Rain And Snow Developing Across The Twin Cities Through South Central Portions Of The State. Snow, Heavy At Times, Will Continue Across West Central Into Central Sections Of Minnesota From Monday Night Into Tuesday Night. Across The Twin Cities And South Central Minnesota, Snow Is Expected Monday Night And Tuesday With Some Freezing Rain Mixed In Late Monday Night And Tuesday Morning. At This Time It Appears The Greatest Snow Accumulations Will Fall Across West Central Into Central Minnesota Where Snowfall Amounts Could Exceed A Foot. Additionally, Strong Winds Are Expected To Develop With This Storm. The Combination Of Strong Winds And Falling Snow May Significantly Reduce Visibilities , And Even Create Near Blizzard Conditions, Especially Across West Central Minnesota.
