Business seminar with Minnesota Mentors Feb. 24

Minnesota Mentors and Herald Journal will join together to present an expert-led, free seminar for small businesses focused on trends, projections, and practical strategies to maximize potential in 2011.
The free seminar is Thursday, Feb. 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. at B’s on the River, 1455 Co. Rd. 27, Watertown. A social hour of networking will follow.

Visitation and funeral service set for Horrmann

DASSEL, MN – Funeral service for Erik Horrmann, 20, of Dassel, is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel. Visitations will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel and also one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday.

‘The Keep’ concert tonight in Cokato, and send off for Mark Morris

COKATO, MN - Local christian band, The Keep, to perform at First Baptist Church in Cokato tonight (Tuesday, March 24) at 7:00pm. Admission is free. The concert will be followed by a send-off for Mark Morris (drummer) who will be deployed to Kuwait in April.

Computer instruction for senior citizens

Cokato Branch is offering FREE Computer Instruction for Senior Citizens
Friday, March 20 9:00am-10:30am, in the Centennial Room.
The training session is for those who have little or NO computer experience.
GRRL will provide the computers.
The class will teach how to: log on, go on line, use a mouse, find things on the internet, use email …

Dassel chamber plans survey

DASSEL, MN – Dassel Area Chamber of Commerce will meet Monday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m. in the Universal Laboratories building in Dassel.
The chamber might change the way it is organized. The business people who met Jan. 26 with the chamber, were asked to bring questions to the Feb. 9 meeting for a survey the chamber will use to find out what business people in the Dassel area want from an organization, according to Dassel Mayor Mike Scanlon.
