Oscar Erven Jatko, 90, of Cokato passed away May 15 at the VA hospital in St. Cloud.
Visitation will take place Friday, May 18 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato. Further visitation will take place Saturday, May 19 one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at the North Crow River Lutheran Church, north of Cokato. Interment will be at the Cokato Finnish Cemetery. Arrangements were made with the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato and Howard Lake.

COKATO, MN – A meeting of the Cokato City Council will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at Cokato City Hall. Items on the agenda include a discussion of the status of the economic development authority and consulting services with Municipal Development Group, hearing a progress report on the wastewater treatment plant pond cleaning, acceptance of a quote to replace tile at the Cokato Public Library entrance, and a progress report regarding replacement of the lift station on the west side of town that services the Dassel-Cokato high school and middle school campus.
DASSEL, COKATO, MN – “A night in time” is the theme of this year’s Dassel-Cokato High School prom. The grand march will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12 in the west gym. The cost for adults is $2, and students and children are free.
Louella M. Johnson, 89, of Watertown passed away May 8 at the Elim Home in Watertown.
Visitation will take place Thursday, May 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Watertown, and one hour prior to the funeral service.
The funeral service will take place Friday, May 11 at 3 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Watertown, with Rev. Paul Kling officiating; interment at the Watertown Public Cemetery.
DASSEL, MN – The Lake Washington Improvement Association’s spring meeting will take place Saturday, May 5 at the Dassel Rod and Gun Club.
Social hour will take place between 5 and 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. A program about purple martins will be presented by Tom Lyke at 6:30 p.m., followed by committee reports. Board elections will take place at 8 p.m.
