ANNANDALE, MN – A couple from Annandale were killed Tuesday following a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 5, according to Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty. The accident occurred around 4:14 p.m. in the 5,800-block of County Road 5 NW in Albion Township. Upon arrival, first responders located a 2011 Chevrolet Impala on its side in the west ditch. Initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was northbound on County Road 5, went off the roadway into the west ditch, hit a driveway approach, went airborne and landed on its side.
The vehicle was being driven by Gordon Robinson, 88, of Annandale. Gordon and his wife, Louise Robinson, 87, were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Gordon and Louise were the only occupants of the vehicle and were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The Annandale Fire Department and Allina Ambulance also responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff Office.
