Tickets for shows like ‘Godspell’ now available to purchase online

DASSEL-COKATO, MN – Tickets for reserved-seating shows at the DC Performing Arts Center can now be purchased online. The software Ticket Turtle makes it easy and convenient to purchase tickets online through the PAC website, www.dc.k12.mn.us/pac. Users can choose the performance dates, see a seating chart of available seats, and even exchange tickets for a different performance. Tickets are then purchased with a credit card and can be printed, have them sent via mail, or picked up at will call the night of the event.

Funeral notice: Tom Mueller, 63, Cokato

Tom Mueller, age 63, of Cokato passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on October 28.  Visitation will be at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 4.  A celebration of his life will be at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 with visitation one hour before the service.

‘Godspell’ performances begin Nov. 11

DASSEL-COKATO, MM – Performance dates for the high school fall musical are Friday, Nov. 11; Saturday, Nov. 12; Friday, Nov. 18; and Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, Nov. 20.
Tickets can be purchased through the high school activities office, $6 for adults and $4 youth (all ages).
In addition, multi-colored “Godspell” bracelets are for sale for $2 in an effort to raise funds for the high school drama program. See Patti Kampa in the activities office.

Veterans Day programs set for Friday, Nov. 11

DASSEL, COKATO, MN - Community members and veterans are invited to attend any of the veterans programs scheduled in the Dassel-Cokato School District Friday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.
Dassel Elementary’s Veterans Day program is at 9:45 a.m. Program to be announced. Kristen Limanen will be speaking about her experience in the military.
Following the program, the veterans are invited for refreshments and conversations with some of our students in the Dassel media center. Veterans are welcome to bring any photos or memorabilia they may have to share with the students.
Cokato Elementary’s program is at 10 a.m. Members of the Legion will talk about flag etiquette. Student council members will also be installed.
The high school/middle school program will be at 2:05 p.m. in the east gym featuring guest speaker Mark Morris.

Cokato man airlifted Friday after accident on Highway 7

UPDATE: Zitzloff was released from North Memorial Hospital Saturday, according to a media representative at North Memorial Hospital.

His stepmom, Cindy Zitzloff, said he is doing well. He suffered no broken bones, and has a mild concussion.

COKATO, MN – Devin Zitzloff, 19, of Cokato was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital following an accident that occurred Friday north of Lester Prairie on Highway 7 and Babcock Avenue (McLeod County Road 1) at about 10:43 a.m., according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Zitzloff was traveling south on Babcock Avenue in a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer when he entered the intersection and was struck by a 2008 Honda Odyssey, traveling west on Highway 7, driven by Leah Plath, 37, of Chanhassen, according to the state patrol.

Following the impact, the Blazer rolled into the eastbound lane of Highway 7 and was struck by a 1994 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Christopher Schroeder, 35, of Hector.

Both the Blazer and the Odyssey came to a stop in the ditch south of Highway 7 and west of Babcock Avenue.
Plath and Schroeder, and several juvenile passengers in the Odyssey were not seriously injured as a result of the accident.

The Blazer was totalled as a result of the accident, and the Oddyssey was severely damaged. The Dodge received minor damage in the accident.

Also assisting at the scene were the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the Winsted Police Department, the Lester Prairie Fire Department, Winsted Fire Department, and Ridgeview Ambulance.
