Auditions for ‘Diary of Anne Frank’ are Thursday and Sunday

DASSEL, MN – Auditions are Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. for the Dassel-Cokato Community Theatre production of “The Diary of Anne Frank.” Auditions will take place in the Performing Arts Center. The production will be presented to the public Friday, March 19 through Friday, March 26.

Emmer is endorsed by Lt. Gov. Carol Molnau

Lieutenant Governor Carol Molnau endorsed Republican Gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer of Delano.  Representative Marty Seifert of Marshall received backing of Republican National Committeewoman Evie Axdahl in the race to succeed Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty, reported KDUZ radio.

Meeker Co Development Corp seeks businesses for ‘green’ grants

MEEKER COUNTY, MN – The Meeker County Development Corporation is helping local businesses, industries, and non-profit organizations apply for federal stimulus grants to address “green” projects, reported KLFD Radio.

Such projects may include making energy improvements to facilities,  with funding through the Department of Commerce’s Office of Energy and Security, according to  Meeker County Development Corporation Executive Director Suzanne Hedtke.

Community women’s soup luncheon Wednesday

COKATO, MN – The women of the community are invited to a community soup luncheon at Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Enjoy homemade soups, breads, and sweets. There will be a free will offering.

Wind advisory issued for Meeker, McLeod

McLEOD &  MEEKER COUNTIES, MN — Travel conditions will be difficult due to winds that are expected to reach 35 mph, according to an advisory issued by the National Weather Service until Tuesday noon.  Details are as follows:
