Four Dassel companies compete for food shelf

DASSEL, MN – Four Dassel companies in the Red Rooster Industrial Park are friendly competitors. American Time and Signal Co. and Crest Healthcare Supply have had a food shelf competition every fall for the past several years. This year, Spectralytics and PortaDock are in on the challenge.
Employees donate food and money. To keep a level playing field and establish a winner, they will calculate pounds of food per employee. All donations will be split equally between the Meeker County Food Shelf and the Cokato Food Shelf. The winning company is rewarded with donuts purchased by the losing companies and bragging rights. And this year, a traveling trophy called “Because We Care…We Share” is part of the championship.
