This year I have a picture of the hail that came on Palm Sunday as we were visiting in the afternoon at the Ray Love residence. The person to correctly guess the photo of the old Dassel Bake Shop sign last week was Sonny Nelson of Dassel. This business is planning to reopen in the future, under new management.
Al Dunn is relocating outside of city limits, and his seat is open for appointment. This same position is up in November. To express interest, please contact the City of Dassel.
A snowstorm is headed this way with about four inches of wet snow forecasted, which will start to fall Thursday and persist through Friday.

The Easter Bunny stopped for a visit at the Meeker County Memorial Clinic in Dassel March 8. She handed out bunny baskets loaded with goodies, courtesy of the Dassel Chamber of Commerce and the Meeker County Memorial Hospital. The bunny visited with Jana Tolkkinen, 5, and her sister Emily, 6, from Dassel.

Rachael Becker from Eden Valley was the top point receiver on the judging
that took place last night. However, all four girls will serve as dairy
princesses for Meeker County for 2008. Three of the girls will have the
option to go on and compete for the title of Princess Kay.
