Dragon boys shut out Trojans

LITCHFIELD – In what head coach Chris Olson called a “gutty win,” Dylan Schutz scored the game’s only goal in the second period and goaltender Darby Halonen stopped all 26 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season, a 1-0 victory Tuesday over the visiting Trojans.

Olson noted that the team was already missing several players coming into the game, and then lost another during the game due to illness.

“It took everyone for that win,” Olson said. “We worked so hard, and some things we have been really pushing for in practice were there in the game. We blocked shots, got in guys’ ways, and went hard into corners. It was a tough battle, but a character builder for us.”

New Prague outshot LDC 26-22. Collin Dorzinski stopped 21-22 shots in net for the Trojans.

Raisanen had the only assist on Schutz’s goal.
