Delano A’s fall to Carver

MILROY – The Delano A’s fell to Carver 4-2 in the second round of the Class C State Tournament, ending their season.

The Black Sox outhit the A’s 10-6 in the game. Litchfield draftee Owen Boerema took the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits and three walks through five innings, while striking out eight. DC Saints draftee Jordan Flick threw four innings, giving up no earned runs on three hits and no walks, while striking out three.

Tanner Kroells and Jeff Althoff each had two hits for Delano. David Dolan had three hits, and scored two runs for Carver.

Andrew Weber picked up the win, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks, while striking out six for Carver. Jacob Booden picked up the save, giving up just one hit in 2 1/3 innings.
