COKATO – The Charger swimming & diving team had their best overall performance of the season Thursday, Sept. 30 on Senior and Parent Night at the DC pool.
While DC lost to the White Hawks – one of the top-10 teams in the state and a section contender – by a score of 110-74, head coach Nathan Youngs said his squad stepped up to the challenge.
“With great competition the girls are always pushed, and the Chargers showed up to compete. We had 70% of the swims throughout the meet finish as career bests, and every single girl on the team had at least one best,” Youngs said. “I don’t know if it was because it was our last home meet, or if it was Senior Night or what, but there was a little extra electricity at the pool – it was as loud as I can remember in there.”
