DC gymnasts take second in GSL tri; fifth at “Tumble in the Jungle”

The Dassel-Cokato gymnastics team placed second out of three teams at a triangular at Waconia Thursday, and took fifth out of eight teams at the annual “Tumble in the Jungle” at Maple Lake Saturday.

At Waconia, the host Wildcats took first with a score of 141.3. The Chargers scored a 127.225, and Glencoe-Silver Lake finished with a score of 121.5.

Megan Nelson had the highest finish for DC, finishing tied for second on the bars, and third in the all-around. Randi Bayerl also took fourth in the all-around.

At Maple Lake, the Chargers finished with a season-best score of 128.4. Nelson again led the Chargers, placing third on bars, fifth on beam, and third in the all-around.
