DC boys bb improves to 8-3 with two wins


The Dassel-Cokato boys basketball team improved to 8-3 overall on the season with two wins in recent action, defeating Mound Westonka (9-3) Thursday at home by a score of 66-54, and downing Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 60-51 Saturday.

Isaac Morris paced the team with 19 points in the win over the White Hawks, while Sanders Asplin (16), Trever Kaiser (15), and Alex Terning (14) all scored in double figures as well. Kaiser finished with a double-double by adding 10 rebounds.

DC outrebounded MW 34-25 for the game. They were aided by a poor FT line performance by the White Hawks, as the they finished 4-14 (28%), while DC hit 12-16 (75%).

Against HLWW, Morris again was the leading scorer for DC with 17 points, while Kaiser added 14. Brock Bangasser had a game-high 30 for the Lakers (5-9).
