Crash injures three on Highway 212 in Glencoe

McLEOD COUNTY, MN – Three people were injured in a crash in Glencoe yesterday afternoon, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

At about 5:30 p.m. July 3, Jordyn Sartain, 18, of South St. Paul, was turning east onto Highway 212 when her 1994 Chrysler LHS collided with a westbound 2009 GMC Yukon, driven by Gary Wertish, 61, of Renville.

Sartain and Wertish were wearing seatbelts; Sartain’s passenger, Nicholas Vandoornevelt, 18, of Cottage Grove, was not.

Vandoornevelt and Wertish sustained minor injuries. Sartain’s injuries were reported as non-life threatening. All three were treated at the Glencoe hospital.

Responding agencies included the Minnesota State Patrol, the Glencoe Police Department, and the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office.
