Charger volleyball drops two at home

The DC Charger volleyball team dropped two home games in recent action, losing to Foley 3-1 Monday, and getting swept by Glencoe-Silver Lake 3-0 Tuesday.

Against Foley, the Chargers trailed 2-0 heading into the third set, but rallied for a 25-19 victory in set three. However, visiting Falcons won a close fourth set, 26-24, to take the victory Monday at DC. Bella Gillman had 12 kills, Kayla Grochow 11.

Against GSL, the visiting Panthers dominated all three sets, winning 25-13, 25-17, 25-19. Vargason led the team in both kills (eight) and digs (11). Grochow added five kills, while Pokornowski had four kills and a team-high two blocks.
