Charger baseball bows out at Willmar

WILLMAR – Willmar’s Brady Bauman held the Chargers to just two hits as #4 Willmar ended the Chargers’ season with a 5-0 victory in Willmar Saturday.

Once again, the lack of a big hit, and some untimely errors, spelled defeat for DC.

Just like they had all season, the Chargers had opportunities to score, but could not come up with the big hit. The team had runners on first and third with no outs in the first, but had a rally-killing double play. In the third, DC had runners on second and third with two outs, but could not push one across.

Collin Krick pitched well, giving up just two earned runs in six innings, walking three and striking out four.

DC ended the season with a 10-12 overall record.
