I am writing from Sweden to you for help. I found an article on the Internet written by Patrice Waldron some years ago. It was about Lake Mary brickyard. The man that started that brickyard was a relative to me, Andrew Hanson. Read more

WaWAVERLY, MN – Jim O’Leary, writer of The Waverly Star, has kindly accepted the offer to write his column once again.  His most recent column is in this week’s issue.

The photo to the left is associated with his column, “Waverly, a great baseball town.”

“This 1940 photo is very different from team photos taken today. Every one of these young men, still in their teens, had expressions on their faces and revealed their personalities, unlike the impersonal team shots taken today, where the players all seem to want to show you how cool they are, not really into it,” O’Leary writes.  Check his column out.
