Starting today we will be sending out a weekly bulletin on Thursday morning to update you on what is going on at school.

The Governor and Commissioner of Education have declared Friday, May 1st and Monday, May 4th professional development days for teachers to continue to develop their distance learning practices for the remainder of the school year.  Teachers’ will not be taking attendance or assigning new schoolwork on those days.  These days will give students the opportunity to catch-up on any schoolwork, which they may be behind on.

 

Lunch will continue to be offered on May 1st and 4th between the hours of 9:00-11:00 am.

 

Tuesday, May 5th between the hours of 9:00-11:00 will be the next packet pick-up and drop-off day.

The last day of school for grades K-11th will be May 22nd.  Starting on May 19th students will be given a time and day in which they will be able to come to the school to pick-up any personal items they have in their rooms/lockers and drop off all school issued materials (classroom/subject books, library books, etc.).

 

 

 

Distance Learning is going well for the vast majority of students and families.

There was an 84% completion rate of the survey.

 

The goal is to have the majority of the students to have between 2.5-3.5 hours of schoolwork per day at the high school level.

Teacher Appreciation week is next week.  If you have time please write a Thank You Note to a teacher.  The LP teachers do a fantastic job of teaching.  What they are doing now with distance learning due to the pandemic is absolutely amazing!  They all feel like first year teachers and are putting in countless hours to best educate the students during this unique time.
