LP/HT basketball camps are on the horizon

Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity summer basketball camps for boys and girls of all ages have recently been set.

This year, all of the camps will take place at Holy Trinity  of Winsted due to construction at Lester Prairie Schools.

There will be an elemantary summer camp, a mini-camp for players in grades seven through 12, and also a Bulldog Breakfast Club for grades seven through 12.

The registration deadline for all camps is Wednesday, May 23.

If interested in any or all of the above camps, flyers and additional information can be found at both Lester Prairie and Holy Trinity high schools.

McLeod Co. woman charged with smothering infant son

McLEOD COUNTY, MN – A 24-year-old Hutchinson woman pleaded not guilty Friday to three charges in Ramsey County of allegedly smothering her infant son, the Hutchinson Leader reported.

The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office charged Katie Elaine Lewis with alleged third-degree assault, endangerment of a child, and domestic assault by strangulation.

Free electronics recycling at First Community Bank May 7-10

LESTER PRAIRIE, SILVER LAKE, MN – If you have unwanted electronics, now is the time to conveniently recycle them.

As part of community banking month, First Community Bank (FCB) in Lester Prairie and Silver Lake will have a free electronic recycling bin in the lobby during business hours Monday, May 7 through Thursday, May 10.

Items such as computers, servers, batteries, printers, cell phones, PDAs, monitors, keyboards, and more (no TVs) can be dropped off at FCB’s Lester Prairie and Silver Lake locations.

LP City Council to discuss street turnback project

LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – Lester Prairie City Council will discuss a proposed street turnback project during Tuesday’s meeting.

Other items on the agenda include a park/pool update, city hall renovations, city hall rental, Girl Scouts, election judges, crack sealing, and a cemetery flag pole.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at city hall.
