Carver County sponsors photo contest

Carver County is sponsoring a photography contest that is open to county residents and employees of Carver County businesses. One grand prize of a rain barrel from Carver County Environmental Services for best photo in all categories will be awarded. Four first place awards of  a Carver County Regional Parks Pass will be awarded in each of four categories: people, nature and landscapes, water resources, and animals. Participants may enter one photo in each category. Photos may be black and white or color. Digital photos must be submitted as prints, four by six inches. No personal identification or title should be seen on the front of photo. Photos should be labeled on the back. The contest is open to all ages, but professional photographers (people who make more than half of their income from photography) are not eligible. All photos become property of Carver County and will not be returned. Entry deadline is Monday, June 1.
