Carver County issues March 13 flooding update

CARVER COUNTY, MN – Carver County issued an update Saturday morning that shows the South Fork of the Crow River at Highway 7 near Mayer reached a level of 7.09 feet, an increase of about three inches in 15 hours. The flood stage at Mayer is 11 feet. The flood forecast from the National Weather Service predicted a crest for the Crow River at Mayer to reach 15.1 feet on or about Wednesday, March 17.

The only road currently closed in Carver County is County Road 123 between Highway 7 and County Road 122 in Watertown Township.

The county anticipates the following road closures in Camden Township sometime in the next two days:

- County Road 30 between County Road 30 and the west county line.

- County Road 32 between the Crow River and County Road 135.

- Yancy Avenue between 78th Street and County Road 30.

- Yale Avenue between 78th Street and County Road 30.

- 82nd Street between County Road 33 and Vega Avenue.

- Vega Avenue between 86th Street and County Road 32.

- Union Avenue between 82nd Street and 78th Street.

- 84th Street at Yale Avenue.

Other road closures are possible depending upon conditions.
