Caring Bridge set up for Howard Lake native

jensNEW GERMANY, MN – A Howard Lake native was critically injured during a two vehicle accident March 27 while driving to work on Carver County Road 33, according to family friend Nicole Bode.

Chris Jensen, 23, was driving a Plymouth minivan when he was struck  at the intersection of Carver County Roads 33 and 34 near Norwood Young America, according to Bode.

Jensen suffered severe brain injuries including a sheared brain stem. He is currently in a medically induced coma in the intensive care unit at the Hennepin County Medical Center. A benefit to help pay medical costs is planned for Friday, May 8 at the Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted from 4 p.m. to 1 p.m. More information about the benefit will be in next week’s Herald Journal.
