Buffalo School levy passes

BUFFALO, MN –The Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School levy renewal passed with 2,207 Yes, 1,080 No.

School board candidate results are still out for Buffalo. From Buffalo, 1,623 voted in favor of renewing the levy, 625 voted against it, with 2,248 votes cast; from Hanover, 354 voted in favor of the levy renewal, 268 voted against it, with 622 votes cast from Hanover; from Montrose, 230 voted in favor of the levy renewal, 187 voted against it, with 417 total votes cast from Montrose.

The amount of the levy renewal is $110.55 per student and would be levied in 2011. There will be no change in taxes from this renewal. The renewal will not be indexed to inflation; the district will simply continue with what is already in place.
