Be cautious on out-of-state advertising pitches

WARNING – Recently an email was circulated from a company in Illinois promoting a 2012 City of Winsted Family First Campaign – it was selling overpriced advertising space on a magnet.

Herald Journal advises local companies to be wary of such out-of-state offers. Legitimate promotions can be done locally at much lower prices and with guaranteed distribution of any advertising. Be careful before you buy!
