Bakeberg claims first solo WCC West crown

LITCHFIELD – After finishing tied for first in the first meet of the season, in the second meet of the season at Litchfield Tuesday, DC sophomore Jackson Bakeberg took first place on his own with a one-over 36, three strokes ahead of Mound Westonka’s Michael Uhas.

And, just like in the first WCC meet, the Chargers took second to Mound Westonka as a team Tuesday. But this time, it was by the slimmest of margins.

The White Hawks took the team title with a score of 165, while DC scored a 166.
